What the papers said
Nolosé Salsa is a salsa orchestra founded in Switzerland in 2004: 16 musicians from Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Poland and Switzerland.
In 2014 the Cuban venture put the band in papers right across French-speaking Switzerland. A Lausanne orchestra had recorded in Havanaand come home with the Premio Internacional at Cubadisco, and the newsdesks picked it up.

Awards, from Havana to Cali
2009: best live album in Switzerland. The Top Trock association chose ‘Live at Chorus’, recorded over two nights at the Lausanne club that gave the album its name.
2014: Premio Internacional, Cubadisco (Havana), for ‘¿Qué Cuenta La Habana?’. The Cuban jury put its verdict in writing: read the‘Dictamen Técnico’ (PDF).
2016: best production of the year, Cali (Colombia), for ‘White Night Mambo’. DJ Yami Perlaza spotted the record and the city's salsa stations kept it on air for months. Top of the pile was ‘Tres Palabras’, sung by Cuban vocalist Doris Lavin.
2018: ‘Amanecer’ nominated for best Swiss salsa composition.
