By midnight, nobody remembers saying they don’t dance
Gala dinner, team building, product launch, end-of-year party: you look after the speeches and the guests. We bring the orchestra. Sixteen musicians, or eight, depending on the room.
Nolosé Salsa is a live salsa band of 8 to 16 musicians that plays corporate events all over Switzerland (usually 8 to 10 for a company evening). The orchestra, founded in Switzerland in 2004, can start the evening with a small line-up over drinks and end it with a full dance floor, as at the Casino de Montbenon in 2024. Companies that have booked the band include Nestlé Suisse, Nespresso and Vinci. You deal with one person from start to finish: the band’s manager.
How the evening might run
- 1. Over drinks, a smaller line-up plays underneath the conversation: enough to warm the room, quiet enough for guests to talk without leaning in.
- 2. Through dinner and the speeches, the band steps back and the microphone is yours.
- 3. After dessert, the full horn and percussion sections come in. That’s the part of the night you’ll keep hearing about.
Every event has its own running order; yours gets settled in one phone call with the manager.
The right size for your venue
What event organisers ask us
Our guests know nothing about salsa. Is that a problem?
Not in the slightest. The set moves between Cuban standards and the band’s own songs, and the volume fits around your programme, speeches included. We plan the running order with you.
Who looks after the technical side?
We can bring the lot: PA, monitors, a sound engineer and lighting. If your venue already has a system, we plug into it and the quote comes down accordingly.
Which languages do you work in?
French or English for the planning, and Spanish too, since several of the musicians come from Cuba and Latin America. The press kit comes in English, French and Spanish.
How do we get a quote?
Fill in the date, the venue and a rough budget below, and the manager will come back to you with the right line-up; for most company evenings that means 8 to 10 musicians.
