Nolosé Salsa is a live band of 8 to 16 musicians for office Christmas parties, end-of-year dinners, team-building days and corporate galas in Geneva, Lausanne and across Switzerland (usually 8 to 10 for a company evening). The orchestra, founded in Switzerland in 2004, can start the evening with a small line-up over drinks and end it with a full dance floor, as at the Casino de Montbenon in 2024. Companies and institutions that have booked the band include Nestlé Suisse, Nespresso, Vinci and the Collège Champittet (end-of-year party, 2019). You deal with one person from start to finish: the band’s manager.
A company evening with the band, in three movements
- 1. Over drinks, a smaller line-up plays underneath the conversation: enough to warm the room, quiet enough for guests to talk without leaning in.
- 2. Through dinner and the speeches, the band steps back and the microphone is yours.
- 3. After dessert, the full horn and percussion sections come in. That’s the part of the night you’ll keep hearing about.

Which band for an office Christmas party?
A live band that can carry the whole evening: a small line-up over drinks, a step back during dinner and the speeches, then the dance floor after dessert. Nolosé Salsa has played that running order since 2004 with 8 to 16 musicians, its own PA and its own sound engineer. Companies and institutions that have booked the band include Nestlé Suisse, Nespresso, Vinci and the Collège Champittet.
Our guests know nothing about salsa. Is that a problem?
Not in the slightest. The set moves between Cuban standards and the band’s own songs, and the volume fits around your programme, speeches included. At the Casino de Montbenon in Lausanne in 2024, the evening started at the tables and ended on the dance floor. We plan the running order with you.
How much does a live band cost for an office party?
Three things shape the quote: the number of musicians (8 to 10 for most company evenings, up to 16 for a large hall), the journey to your venue and the equipment we need to bring. Fill in the date, the venue and a rough budget below, and the manager replies within 48 hours, often the same day, with a proposal and no obligation.
Who looks after the sound and the technical side?
We can bring the lot: PA, monitors, a sound engineer and lighting. If your venue already has a system, we plug into it and the quote comes down accordingly. The 10-piece line-up fits on 24 m² of stage, 6 metres by 4.
Do you play outside Lausanne, in Geneva or Zurich?
Yes. The band is based in Lausanne and plays all over Switzerland and in Europe: Geneva, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and the Valais in the French-speaking part; in German-speaking Switzerland it has played Caliente! in Zurich, and JazzAscona in Ticino.
How long does the band play?
Usually 1.5 to 2 hours of music, spread across your evening: for example a relaxed first set over drinks, then a second set at full tilt after dinner. A playlist covers the breaks, and a DJ can round off the night on request.
Which languages do you work in?
French, German or English for the planning, and Spanish too, since several of the musicians come from Cuba and Latin America. The press kit comes in English, French, Spanish and German.
