Nolosé Salsa is a salsa orchestra of 16 musicians, founded in Lausanne in 2004, booked 6 times by the Montreux Jazz Festival between 2007 and 2018, by JazzAscona in 2023 and 2025, by Caliente! in Zurich in 2024 and by LakeLive in Biel in 2023. Outside Europe: the Havana Jazz Festival and the Bogotá Timba Festival.

A sound that comes from Havana
The band recorded an album at the Radio Progreso studios in Havana, hence the repertoire: salsa, son, timba, rumba, and original compositions your audience has heard nowhere else.The full story is here.
The horns end up in the crowd
The singers dance at the front, the guiro comes down to warm up the first row, and it happens that trombones and trumpets walk through the crowd while playing. On stage since 2004, one single contact: the band’s manager, on +41 79 600 22 40.

How many musicians on stage?
At festivals, the salsa big band: 12 to 16 musicians, with four voices, five horns and the full rhythm section. More compact line-ups exist for club stages.
Are there dancers on stage?
Nolosé is first of all a band. But the stage moves: the singers dance at the front, and depending on the event, a couple of dancers can join the show.
Who handles the technical side?
Your crew, as usual at festivals: we send the patch list and the stage plan, your technicians do the rest. Nolosé can bring the backline if needed.
Does the band travel outside Switzerland?
Yes. Nolosé has played the Havana Jazz Festival (2013-2014), the Bogotá Timba Festival (2018) and the Half Note in Athens (2015).
How far ahead should we get in touch?
The earlier the better: summer line-ups are often settled the autumn before. For a closer slot, ask anyway; we answer quickly.
