Towns, tourist offices & festival committees

A salsa band for Swiss National Day and your town’s festivals

On 31 July 2026, Martigny put up its big stage on the Place Centrale for an evening of Latin dance. The next day, the town of Nyon gave us its Swiss National Day evening, at the Cantine de Rive.

Nolosé plays for towns, tourist offices and festival committees in French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France: Swiss National Day, village festivals, summer fêtes, Fête de la musique, carnival. The orchestra comes with 8, 10, 12 or 16 musicians, depending on the space, and with its instruments. It plugs into your stage’s PA or, if you prefer, brings its own and its sound engineer. You deal with one person, and the invoice comes from a non-profit association.

Some of the towns that have booked us

Next date: the town hall of Publier, in Haute-Savoie, on 6 February 2027.

An evening in the square

A village square brings everyone together: families, neighbours, children on their parents’ shoulders, people from here and from far away. The orchestra looks like them, with musicians from Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Poland and Switzerland. Salsa gets the whole square on its feet, from five to seventy-five, and everyone finds a little of home in it.

The evening is built around your programme: a first set at aperitif time, as the square fills up, then a second one after dinner or the official speeches. In between, a playlist keeps the square in music. For the last songs, the trombones and the trumpet come down off the stage and play in the middle of the dancers. The crowd is no longer in front of the orchestra, it is inside it, and that is the part of the evening people are still talking about the next day.

What the town provides, what we bring

On your side

A stage or a platform (allow 24 m² for ten musicians), 230 V power near the stage and shelter if rain threatens. If your stage already has a PA, lighting and a technician, that is ideal: the orchestra plugs in, following its technical rider.

On ours

We come with our instruments. If you wish, we also bring the PA, the monitors and our sound engineer, plus some extra lighting, enough for a small stage.

When to book

Towns and festivals plan their programmes months in advance. For a date in July or August, and for Swiss National Day in particular, write to us as early as you can. A provisional booking is enough to start, even without the full programme.

Frequently asked questions from towns

Can you play in a square without a covered stage?

Yes, with a flat area big enough (24 m² for ten musicians), power near the stage and shelter for the PA if the weather turns. A tent or a covered platform is enough.

Do we need to provide a sound system?

Yes, a concert needs a PA. If your stage has one, with a technician, that is ideal: the orchestra plugs in. Otherwise we bring ours, with the monitors and our sound engineer.

What budget should a town plan for?

Allow around CHF 2,000 to 3,000, depending on the number of musicians, the technical set-up and transport costs. Give us the date, the place and a rough budget. The manager replies within 48 hours with a detailed proposal, ready to put before your council or your committee.

Do you play in neighbouring France?

Yes, gladly. We have already played for the towns of Évian, Annecy and Publier.

Do you offer dance classes?

Yes. Alongside the concert, we offer dance classes for everyone, Cuban dance demonstrations and musicality workshops. In 2025, JazzAscona asked us to run Cuban salsa workshops on its street stages in Ascona. And at almost every concert, a short demonstration opens the dance floor.

Can you play a dance evening for the whole town?

Yes. The orchestra’s repertoire is built for dancing, with classics the crowd recognises from the first bars.

How long does the concert last?

Usually 90 minutes to 2 hours of music, in one or two sets to fit your programme. During the breaks a playlist takes over. On request, a DJ keeps the party going afterwards.
